Suspension of a driver license for failure to pay child support. To report a person who fails to pay child support, or to remove a suspension for the failure to pay child support, you must contact the local child support enforcement agency or the OTDA. The DMV cannot suspend a driver or remove a suspension without a notification from the child support enforcement agency or the OTDA.

Suspensions & Denials Driver's License Suspension The Colorado Division of Child Support Services (CSS) has the authority to request the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to suspend an individual's driver's license for the non-payment of child support. If suspended, an individual must obtain a Notice of Compliance from CSS and meet DMV's requirements in order to reinstate their privilege to drive. It may be possible for an individual to obtain a probationary license from DMV. If suspended, they must obtain a Notice of Compliance from CSS and meet the requirements of their particular licensing board at Dept. Recreational License Suspension CSS is authorized to suspend or deny hunting and fishing licenses of individuals who are past due in their child support payments.
